Meet Our Founders
Together, Mina and Jay created Soul Gym, a safe and brave space that trains professionals into integrating their physical, mental, and spiritual self to exercise greater inner peace in their everyday life.
Collectively, they bring both their enthusiasm for Yoga and holistic credentials to help you navigate toward inner peace and power that can be found within.

Shermina is a Registered Emergency Travel Nurse, AcroYoga Teacher, and Yoga Enthusiast. She was guided to help start Soul Gym because of her lifelong journey of finding inner peace and rest in everything she does, and she now loves helping others discover inner peace for themselves.

Jamila is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Certified Diversity Equity and Inclusion Facilitator, Certified Yoga Instructor, and Yoga Enthusiast. A statement by Angela Davis that reads, “I am no longer accepting the things I cannot change. I am changing the things I cannot accept”, powerfully drives Jamila’s life and the essence of Soul Gym’s approach as the team supports people to take back their greatest super power, the peace that is already within.
